I'm LMAO at this zapperz guy. Is he for real? What research is he talking about? This is a reference to a spoof article this Horn guy claimed as proof for a Meier claim. If this is in reference to another issue zapperz, post it on the appropriate comment section, or else post something here that pertains to this article.

Is zapperz another username for Horn? If so, I would understand it then. LOL

I would suggest that anyone interested in any MLM deal contact Multi-Pure Company directly, as they offer these "distributorships." Make sure and understand EXACTLY what is being asked of you and decide whether or not you think its something you are interested in. Go in not believing anything they tell you and that will help. Ask lots of questions and walk away if it sounds too good to be true. I have seen too many people over the years looking for get-rich-quick schemes go into them blind and find out 3 months later, that they feel ripped off. Understand that you have to be a sales person if you ever want to make money, develop your own customer base, etc., etc. Very few people ever even make their original investment back out. And these discounts are offered by dozens of people on the internet that I found within a few minutes on Google. Personally, I tell everyone to run away as fast as they can whenever they start looking into MLM's! Do your homework first folks.

Why does moderation take so long? I submitted my comment an entire month ago. Your claim that Multi-Pure is a scam is libelous and outrageous. Unless my comment is posted by May 10 to defend Multi-Pure, you will face legal action.

Are you ignorant or just dishonest? You really need to do your research before you make false claims. Your tagline says that you "investigate claims from a rational, scientific viewpoint, and disseminate factual information about such inquiries to the public."

You clearly don't understand MLM as a business model, nor Multi-Pure. While there most definitely are pyramid scams out there disguised as MLM, the network marketing industry is a legitimate business model that pays representatives commissions when they sell products.

Pyramid scams that are based on paying reps to sign up new reps without real products being sold are scams, indeed. In order to find a REAL MLM business opportunity, find out if it is listed as a member of the Direct Selling Association, which has a strict code of ethics and serves as a watchdog for the industry.

Multi-Pure is a DSA member and has been a leader in the drinking water industry for 40 years. It offers a genuine business opportunity for individuals to earn commissions when they recommend and sell Multi-Pure water filters. Everything Michael Horn shared in his letter is correct. As an independent distributor of the company, he can offer discounts and free gifts when customers wish to purchase from him.

The MLM business model is so effective at distribution, that some of the big mainstream companies are now including it in their marketing plans: Dove Chocolates, Medifast, energy companies, and many more!

The fact is that companies utilizing the MLM system, are many times, more profitable than mainstream companies, especially in a bad economy. If you use network marketing, you already have an army of people promoting your product. You don’t need to spend heavily on television spots (hiring expensive actors, directors, shooting locations) or on billboards or on newspaper front pages. You have your network speaking about your product and they will keep promoting it because they're rewarded financially for doing so. It's really no different than affiliate marketing on the internet...reps get paid commissions to share products.

There is no shortage of web sites and blogs dedicated to slamming the MLM industry. There ARE scams out there, and the people who vocally complain are those who didn't do their research and got sucked into scams. They're also the ones who got started in legitimate MLM companies, but didn't earn all of the money they thought they could. Some MLMs require monthly autoship, so unless the networker is out there making sales, their part-time business venture could be costly. Multi-Pure requires no monthly autoship and only charges $10 to sign up to become a distributor for life!

There are also countless web sites and blogs written by network marketers whose lives have been richly blessed by their MLM business opportunities. It's netWORK...you do the work and you can succeed.

Do your research. To declare Michael Horn as a scam artist, simply because he is recommending a product is dishonest and ignorant.

By the way I will return to see if you have the gonads to print my comments. if not, fine, I will just set up a web site to slam your research methods. You find 1 source that tells you what you want to see or hear, and you believe them, when you should at a minimum, find at least 2 or 3 that correlate your findings.

Have you guys been able to produce 26,000 pages of original text? Have you guys reproduced the UFO sounds? Have you reproduced the metal samples? Just wondering when I can see that proof?

Your like a bad market research company that never saw 8 track tapes taking down the vinyl record industry in just a few short years.

You guys are amazing,, amazingly sloppy and rank amateurs at best.

Funny you call MLM a scam, tell that to AMWAY a $6 billion corporation that started out just like that and is listed on the NYSE. If your link is the best you can do to slam MLM, then your research is the shoddiest I have seen yet for an organization to call itself a research group. Sounds more like a smear campaign like the liberal media that slams anyone that disagrees with them. Keith Oberman would be proud of you guys, but personally I find most of your stuff to be shoddy.
