We feel that it is important to remind people unfamiliar with the history of this claim of certain facts regarding various statements made by Michael Horn, the self-described Authorized American Media Representative of the Billy Meier Contacts.
1. Neither Mr. Horn nor Mr. Meier has ever applied to have any claim be analyzed in regards to the IIG Paranormal Challenge.
2. When Mr. Horn and Vaughn Rees, of the Center for Inquiry-West, spoke informally over three years ago the IIG Paranormal Challenge did not exist, so Mr. Horn’s claim to that money based on that meeting is invalid.
3. Mr. Horn and Mr. Meier are the ones making a claim, not CFI-West or the IIG.
4. Photos and recordings can be faked a number of different ways, and no test can conclusively determine that objects in photos or sounds on recordings were of extraterrestrial origin. Both issues are red herrings.
5. The photos, films, videos, audio recordings, and prophecies of Mr. Meier are not applicable to the IIG Paranormal Challenge because they were all made without observation by independent observers who can verify the validity of their creation.
6. The metal alloy that Mr. Horn claims to be of manufactured extraterrestrial origin is applicable to the IIG Paranormal Challenge, but merely submitting reports of previous testing does not satisfy the terms of the Challenge. New examinations need to be carried out by an independent third party in order to verify the previous examinations.
In conclusion, the only evidence that Michael Horn claims to have that would be applicable to the IIG Paranormal Challenge is the metal alloy. No other claims can be suitably tested and any other tests performed would be inconclusive at best. Regarding the photos, films, videos, audio recordings, and prophecies the Center for Inquiry-West/Independent Investigations Group and Michael Horn/Billy Meier will have to agree to disagree. However, we are very interested in arranging an examination of the metal alloy by an independent third party. If Mr. Horn were to contact us for an official application for the IIG Paranormal Challenge and arrange for the testing of the metal alloy we could bring this discussion to a close.

In April 2004, a man who goes by the internet moniker "Ike42" became interested in the discussion taking place between Horn, the IIG, and Randi. In a few short weeks, he compiled a detailed report on research he undertook into several of Meier's, and by extension Horn's, prophetic claims. The entire report can be read or downloaded by clicking here. In this report, Ike researches thirteen of Meier's prophetic utterances, none of which he is able to corroborate. Check out this research and see if you agree with his conclusions.
